GM Must Face Consumer Claims Over Ethanol Fuel Use Warning

A General Motors LLC Flex Fuel car owner raised sufficient claims in his latest proposed class complaint alleging the automaker misled drivers about how much ethanol-based fuel the vehicles can use, a federal judge said Friday.

Chevrolet Impala owner Michael Fleury, who said his car's fuel pump failed after he started using only E85 (85% ethanol), got the go-ahead from Judge Virginia M. Kendall of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
