Ocean Network Express (ONE) recently carried out a major breakbulk loading operation in Rotterdam onboard its 24,000 TEU ONE Innovation. The vessel took onboard four marine loading arms bound for Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Each marine loading arm measured almost 22 metres in length, so the shipment required a total of 20 of ONE’s 40′ Flat Rack High Cube units for bedding, split across two bays. Operations kicked off on a Saturday morning and by midday, all four loading arms were loaded, lashed, and secured, ready for departure.
“This project is a testament to the meticulous planning and attention to detail that goes into handling our customer’s Breakbulk shipments. We ensured that every safety precaution and requirement was carefully considered for a smooth and secure shipment,” Marco Sardo and Alexander Nørgaard Christiansen, ONE’s EUA Special Cargo experts who oversaw the loading, said.
The operation was handled in cooperation with the project forwarder deugro.
